Mt. Allen Drive Construction

Mt. Allen Drive sewer repairs will begin starting on Monday, April 29. Sections of Mt. Allen Drive will close from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., except for local traffic, while sewer repairs are being made. Work is currently underway and Mt. Allen Drive is closed as of May 22, 2013 in the section between the Route 15 overpass at East Winding Hill Road to Conway Drive.

Construction will last approximately 3 weeks. Residents will be detoured around the construction site using Gettysburg Pike, Route 114, and Kim Acres Drive.

Recycling News Alert

York Waste will no longer accept covered electronic devices such as computer monitors, CPUs, laptops, printers, hard drives or TVs of any kind or size starting January 24, 2013. Residents who have these items can drop them off at the following locations:

Dauphin County Recycling Center in Harrisburg
(Near Harrisburg incinerator. Will accept Cumberland County recycle items)

Burn Permits

Burn permit applications will now require a 72 hour notice, so they can be processed by the Upper Allen Fire Department.
Please consider this timeline before you make any plans.

Residential / Recreational firepits and fireplaces do not require a burn permit.
However, residents must abide by the burn ban notice.

The Board of Commissioners welcomes all Township residents who wish to be considered to volunteer for future vacancies on Township Boards/Commissions.
