Board Members (3 Year Term):
Dean Otto (2011) - Chairman John Allison (2010) Jean Foschi (2012) Damian J. Wachter Alternate (2010) Any township that has enacted a zoning ordinance must appoint a Zoning Hearing Board. The board's purpose is to hear appeals on the validity of the zoning ordinance or map or any decision of the zoning officer. In addition, the board has the power to grant variances and special exceptions to the ordinance. The Zoning Hearing Board is a three-member quasi-judicial board consisting of residents of the municipality who may hold no other elected or appointed office. The Zoning Hearing Board acts independently and does not answer to the Board of Commissioners. The normal appointment is a three (3) year term. The Zoning Hearing Board typically meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
